Introduction:

Our mission is to significantly reduce the depth and breadth of poverty in the communities in which we operate around the world. In particular, we provide small loans, basic business training and continuing guidance to groups of women in sub-Saharan Africa, enabling them to develop self-sustainable livelihoods, feed, clothe and educate their families, and work their way out of the poverty trap. Central to our work is our ethos of offering a hand up, not a hand out - these people need to be able to provide for themselves, with a steady income from a self-sustainable business, rather just than relying on handouts passed through governments and agencies.
