I think that: Every Student in Full Time Education should be entitled to some a Student Loand but this is being taken advantage of. Because: Student Loans are given on an income assessed or non assessed means. Those from un privileged backgrounds are given additional means, but does this mean that this extra money is really being used sensibly or just to fund more nights out and behind the student bar rather than on studies. |

It's based on income rather than background. If your millionaire father has retired, his income is £0 so you will get extra funding. Hence the "assessment" is unfair. Bar?! Pah! There’s hardly enough loan money to cover the rent as it is.
