Agree Disagree Don't know Don't care

We think that: We need to stop the sale of cigarettes through vending machines.

Because: It's now illegal for children to be sold cigarettes until they turn 18, but many kids are buying cigarettes from unsupervised vending machines. Children who smoke are far more likely to continue smoking in adult life, threatening their long term heart health. Statistics show that more than 1 in 6 children who are regular smokers usually buy their cigarettes from machines in England – this equates to a staggering 46,000 children regularly buying cigarettes in this way in England and Wales - badly effecting their health To make it harder for children to get hold of cigarettes, we want to see parliamentary legislation which will ban the sale through vending machines.
