I think that: Charities and celebrities can spend millions on food, clothing, education, and shelter for people in poor and devastated countries, but in our own country children and the elderly routinely go hungry and without proper health care daily because they don't have enough income to survive properly??

Because: Seems to me that it's easier to ignore the problems at home and concentrate on what doesn't effect us directly.
