I think that: Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has accused Manchester United of trying to buy the Premiership trophy.
Because: this is from a man whose club has splashed over £300 million in transfer fees since Roman Abramovic took over four years ago.
United have already spent £50 million this summer to bring in Owen Hargreaves, Nani and Anderson, but that figure pales into insignificance next to the massive £110 million spent by Chelsea in 2003 and the £91 million the year after; a spending spree which arguably bought Chelsea two Premiership trophies.
Mourinho seems to think he can justify his statement because he did not pay a penny for stars Michael Ballack and Andriy Shevchenko last summer
