Agree Disagree Don't know Don't care

We think that: When John Prescott says he can’t see anyone in the Cabinet with the right skills to succeed Gordon Brown as Prime Minister we have to agree.

Because: THE occasions on which The Sun has seen eye to eye with John Prescott can be counted on the fingers of one pudgy hand. But when he says he can’t see anyone in the Cabinet with the right skills to succeed Gordon Brown as Prime Minister we have to agree. Can you imagine Jack Straw or, God forbid, Harriet Harman at the helm? Neither can we. We might have more time for those secretly plotting against Brown if they had the spine to stand up and be counted. But they don’t. The reality is none of the Cabinet’s young guns yet has the credibility, talent or experience to shepherd Britain through this grim economic crisis. Nor do any of the old hands. A general election is at least 18 months away, and Britain cannot afford the distraction of a bloodbath within Labour’s panicking ranks. The country needs strong leadership, not its third Prime Minister in 18 months. When he returns from his break, strong leadership is what Gordon must give us.

Gordon or Not

Gordon is in deep water right now. I bet Miliband is plotting against him.
If he comes back from his summer break with authority, then maybe the Labour Party will be slightly better off. But if not, he's lost it for good.
