I think that: Have they blown it, now delayed in Europe till March 2007.
Because: With the price at £550 and now its delayed till March 2007. First thing is that they will miss the xmas which is when a huge amount of sales happen. How many parents will be able to afford xmas presents then 3 months later a ps3. The third thing is that the xbox 360 will look more attractive as its starting to drop in price before xmas and will be in stock. Then March time microsoft will be able to drop the price again. So next xmas sony will need to recover costs when microsoft and possibly nintendo will be in a price war. Whats the future of the PS3?
