Agree Disagree Don't know Don't care

I think that: The police are not protecting the public correctly. Or taking crime seriously enough.

Because: Ok hereÂ’s the scenario: A man knocks on a door at 10pm with an accusation based on gossip that is incorrect. Then proceeds to threaten the householder with physical violence. Yet the police say sorry we canÂ’t send an officer because thereÂ’s too much trouble in the pubs. The police also promise the householder that they will attend 8am next morning. Yet at 8:30am the householder phones the police and is still told that due to the problems in the pubs the night before they are still too busy. And an officer will make contact sometime during the day. Did I forget to mention the initial call to the police was a 999 call. This was never treated with any importance.

Don't forget the "your call is in a queue and we shall get to you as soon as possible" If this person is lucky he won't get beaten to a pulp by the intruder.
