I think that: All elections in the United Kingdom should be conducted under a system of proportional representation.

Because: The first past the post method of counting votes always produces a government with an amount of seats which is dis-proportionate to its electoral support,I.E. A government which assumes power on a minority of votes cast,that has been chosen by a minority of the electorate. Such administrations are rareley answerable to the electorate as a whole as they only ever need to please the minority of the electorate that chose them in order to gain re-election. Thus majority opinions are continiously ignored to the detrement of our country. A prime example is of course the illegal war in Iraq.
