I think that: After being a big fan of Tesco for many years I now beleive that Sainsbury is the best all round food supermarket in the UK.
Because: Well they may be behind M&S on some premium food types but in general their range is excellent. Bread is always good - why does Tesco bread taste funny? Their fruit is broad in range but also they have grade II fruit which is excellent in price. Their food labelling is superior and their ready meals are better than Tesco or Waitrose. They are mving toward a greener position as fast as other supermarkets. Good prices all round - what more can I say. I know they don't carry the full range of non-food items that Tesco and ASDA carry but for an all round food supermarket they ar ein first place.... (I do not work for them just a consumer)
