I think that: It's hard to be bothered to turn up to vote, when local party activity, hustings, etc. seem only to be targeted at areas where the parties believe they'll get the best bang for their buck. Because: If the outcome isn't purely a response to our national government and many local parties seem only to be going through the motions, why should I care?
