I think that: We spoil our children. Most children possess a TV in their rooms, some kind of music 'player', gameboy or PSP and have not had to do a thing to 'earn' these items. Because: Some only have to whine for a few minutes and they are given what they want, just to shut them up! What sort of message is this giving them for the adult world? |

This is so true, I hae been guilty of it myself. Our parents were lucky, they did not have to contend with the costant stream of adverts via the mass media. It is so difficult to say no in the face of teen hysterics!
