Votes at 16!

It is imperative to get young people engaged in politics as many key issues and decisions are made that directly affect them. Therefore UK Youth Parliament believe the voting age should be lowered to 16. This is a natural step as young people aged 16 are already old enough to pay taxes, join the army and work full-time, thus should be eligible to vote in elections.
