People who care for others such as friends or relatives who have disabilities should be paid a decent wage.It is estimated that these people save the government £80billion a year. It's a disgrace that they are entitled to claim much less than what the minimum legal wage is!

MP's Need to do more to appease the people in light of current revelations

We think it's unfair That MP's are only agreeing to only a 4yr review of expenses already claimed. It should be a maximum of 6yrs.They should have to abide by the same laws that they pass a but ordinary voters have to abide to. in this case the Statute of Limitations , which is 6 years

Cardiff Airport Link Road

Vote now

With more ans more traffic on our roads, we desperately need to improve our roads. One road that needs to be top of the priority list is the link to Cardiff Airport/M4 link. The existing route is extremely congested and will not cope with any additional traffic to the Airport or the Defence Academy. It is probably the only road serving an airport where you are likely to get stuck behind a milk float. Building the road will not only create jobs, it will help future business opportunities and regeneration. We desperately need an improved road link to the Airport. Real Accountability in Child Protection Policy and Practice

After cases like Baby P's things must change. But there's a danger of returning to fear based, risk averse attitudes, losing positive strides in child protection policy. A genuine desire to support families, enabling them to function properly so children can safely remain at home.Councillors on a unitary or shire authority are already Corporate Parents. Many local members do not fully understand the implications and responsibilities of corporate parental responsibility, (CPR).To achieve real accountability and ensure proper safeguards CPR must be emphasised more robustly. A broader interpretation is needed. Councils should have a corporate parent panel, to include elected members, that reviews and monitors cases involving children with child protection plans, in particular complex cases and borderline ones. Only by developing systems that achieve real accountability in this area will we ensure better safeguards and an end to children either being left in danger or unnecessarily removed ...more»

Should everyone recieve EMA

As such Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA) is given to those students that stay on for further education after compulsory education has finished ie. College or 6th form. The amount recieved by the individual is based on how much their parents earn. To get £30 Parents who earn up to £20,817 per year recieve £30 per week. £20,818 - £25,521 per year recieve £20 a week and £25,522 - £30,810 per year recieve £10 a week but if your parents earn more than £30,810 per year the individual has no entitlement to EMA. This is an unfair system as this money is meant to aid youth in their education when purchasing school equipment and helpin them go on educational school trips. Most children stuggle to find jobs and so have little money to purchase school equipment and are being unfair excluded. It is not the children that recieve the parents extra money and so they in fact do not get any financial aid, whether it be via parents or government. Even an extra £5 for those whose parents earn more ...more»
