HGV road restrictions at peak times
We should employ the same system as Germany and other european countries have here in the UK.
Restricting HGV's and cars with trailers from overtaking in the middle and outside lanes of motorways at peak times is a real winner in other countries!!

Secondary school teaching needs to improve
Five hundred secondary schools in England did not meet the government's minimum target for GCSE attainment, the annual performance tables show.
Teaching methods and structure need to improve and syllabuses need to be more detailed and not dumbed down. Letting GCSE's to become easier was the first big mistake made here.

Brown promises can not be met!
Prime Minister Gordon Brown has said he will put housing, health and education at the heart of his parliamentary programme for the next year. I think this will not come to fruition and this is an attempt to gain favour away from David Cameron.
House prices will still be well out of line from salaries in 10 years time, the NHS will take many years to recover from its debt and education will still be weakened!
Lets face it...Blair screwed up big time and Brown unfortunately is not brilliant enough to pick up the pieces!

Bush has never been an environmentalist
US President George W Bush has urged countries to agree on long-term goals for greenhouse gas emissions. I believe this is a lame effort by Bush to show that he cares about the environment, considering the vast demand on fuel and resources, and wastage of those, made by the U.S.

Is Gordon Brown the man for the job?
Gordon Brown has secured the backing of enough MPs to ensure he will not face a contest to become the next Labour leader and prime minister. Not that any tax payers have a say in this, but I don't think he is going to be much of an improvement on Tony Blair.

Is is really time to tax the carbon dodgers?
As the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change unveils its latest forecasts of impacts around the world, some in Europe are asking how all nations can be induced to become low-carbon economies. One answer, says John Hontelez, is through taxes and incentives on trade.
To me this is just another money spinner. There is no evidence for carbon emissions effecting climate change in this way!!

However, I don't think that this will have as much negative impact to Romania as immigration, from this country, to the UK will have!
